Life is a Game We Play

Using the idea of board games as metaphors for life, I have created these paintings based around choices, decisions and life changing moments.

As we go through life every decision we make throughout the day shapes our current reality. Some decisions are more important than others of course, but each one can take us on a specific path.

Whether it’s a conscientious choice or perhaps just a moment of luck, for that instant in time sets us up on a new journey.

Often we may go through life oblivious to what thoughts we are thinking and what actions we are taking, but each thought and action shapes who we are as a person as we follow through with the decisions we make.

These paintings and more from the series are now available at www.scotlandart.com

Upcoming Shows and Fairs

I know I haven't updated my blog for a while now, mainly because I haven't actually done much painting! The last month or so has been taken up by School holidays, short breaks and just general pottering around the house with only a minimum amount of my time dedicated to painting.

Thankfully I do now feel totally refreshed and this past week has been great, just to get back into working and with a few shows and fairs coming up, what better reason to crack on with some brand new work and develop new ideas!....

I will post some images of exhibiting work nearer the show dates, so keep checking back ! :)

Edinburgh Exhibition Preview - Thursday 22nd October

New original work will be exhibiting at Scotlandart Galleries in Edinburgh from 22nd October through to the end of November.

I will be attending the preview night myself on the 22nd, so it will be nice to chat to anyone who is able to make it.

If you are able to get to Edinburgh at any stage over the next few weeks, please pop in to view the new work on show, some of which I have posted on here in recent weeks.

Scotlandart is based in the Stockbridge area of the City and is well worth a visit.

If you cant get to the gallery, then the work will be viewable and available through the gallery website at www.scotlandart.com
